The House of Mandela token will release original works by Nelson Mandela as NFT collections. The initial collection will consist of eight series developed by and in honor of Nelson Mandela from various stages in his awe-inspiring life: The Struggle Series, The Values Series, The Feelings Series, The People Series, The Fighting Series, The Hope Series, The Loyiso Mkize Series, and The Robben Island Series.
The Robben Island Series:
“Today, when I look at Robben Island, I see it as a celebration of the struggle and a symbol of the finest qualities of the human spirit, rather than as a monument to the brutal tyranny and oppression of apartheid.
Robben Island is a place where courage endured in the face of endless hardship, a place where people kept on believing when it seemed their dreams were hopeless, and a place where wisdom and determination overcame fear and human frailty.
It is true that Robben Island was once a place of darkness, but out of that darkness has come a wonderful brightness, a light so powerful that it could not be hidden behind prison walls, held back by a prison bars or hemmed in by the surrounding sea.
In these sketches entitled: My Robben Island, I have attempted to colour the island sketches in ways that reflect the positive light in which I view it. This is what I would like to share with people around the world and, hopefully, also project the idea that even the most fantastic dreams can be achieved if we are prepared to endure life’s challenges.”

Nelson Mandela created a series of sketches about his experiences on Robben Island. With guidance from his art teacher Varenka Paschke, he became an artist.
The works were developed in a series of colors; solid black crayon outlines with colorful shades for each image. Interestingly, he never completed a final piece, but instead, a series of overlays to create the final picture. Nelson Mandela signed each edition.
Each Mandela NFT owner will receive a unique digital identity as a member of the House of Mandela community, giving them access to exclusive benefits. New members will join the Legacy House, providing admission to the Mandela family discord chat room to exchange views with members of the Mandela family.
Proceeds of each NFT sale will go to The House of Mandela Family Foundation to improve the livelihood of impoverished and underserviced African communities. The Mandela NFTs have been displayed on the House of Mandela NFT webpage and can be purchased using HOM Tokens.
